Smith Hill Memories Series (2025)

(44:11), (45:41), (47:49), (31:12) In the hopes to preserve a treasure trove of memories for current and future generations of a large NC based family, I oversaw the production of these videos. This included the lighting, sound, recording and editing. While working with current family members, we curated questions to ask the older generation and I set up extra interviews with younger generations.

It’s a Drag (2023)

(7:57) In this original documentary short, I worked on planning shots, organizing interviews and filming equipment, managing camera lighting  and audio, composing the soundtrack and editing the video while receiving feedback from the director. This project served as a lesson in color correction as many shots turned out underexposed and required heavy editing. This was my first experience using a shoulder rig for a camera.

Laid to Rest (2023)

(3:57) This lyric video for an existing song by “Lamb of God” was created using recorded footage of myself playing guitar and b-roll around university campus. As director, I assigned roles to other members of my group such as the lyric animation and hand-drawn animation.

Office Ours Ads (2024 - 2025)

(0:31), (1:05), (0:52), (0:31) In a series of televised ads, I worked closely with the management of a multi-location office rental company to create videos for multiple formats. These ads were showcased in The Triangle and surrounding regions in North Carolina while being shown on Facebook and Instagram feeds.

NC Film Project (2024)

(26:46) Serving as the second addition to The NC Film Project, I gathered footage and sound recordings for my group’s documentary on The Hunger Games. The soundtrack was created while sitting in on editing sessions and was intended to echo the sound of the original movie’s soundtrack. Broadcasted on UNCA’s public access channel.
